Innkeeper Gwenn Eyer has long dreamed of the day she would operate a Bed & Breakfast. She and her husband Glenn believe that the Lord has directed them to this place at this time. After spending their entire 25-year married life living in Alton, Illinois, just outside St. Louis, Missouri, they've moved to Jacksonville to be near the Illinois School for the Deaf where their granddaughter attends kindergarten. Though currently faced with some significant life challenges, they are embracing this new chapter in their lives with heartfelt gratitude for the Lordís blessings and direction.

They chose the name "Blessings on State" to reflect their feelings about managing the Bed & Breakfast. "We believe itís the Lord's blessing that has allowed us to have this opportunity," Gwenn says, "and we want to be a blessing to others."
